Manaslu Circuit trek is a beautiful trek, with remarkable views of the Manaslu. The trek passes through authentic Hindu and Tibetan-style villages. Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world standing in the very center of the Nepalese Himalaya. To trek around the base of this majestic giant is to trek perhaps the very best of all the ‘best-kept secrets’ of the Nepalese Himalaya. Along with the exceptional views in every direction Manaslu trek also leads to a low-to-high range of altitudes which presents varied flora and fauna, most noticeably it helps in exploring a wide cultural spectrum along with strong influences from Tibet mixing with Nepali ethnic diversity.

Way to Manaslu trek begins by exploration of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu. The entire trip will allow getting marvel at the majestic views of Mt. Manaslu, which is the eighth tallest mountain in the world. Trek is also coupled with a chance to witness the rich local heritage and biological diversity of the region. Larkya La Pass is widely considered to be one of the most dramatic passes crossing the Himalayas. As similar to other treks, this trek also ensures enough time for proper acclimatization. The trek basically involves walking on mountain trails which require the capabilities of people with good cardiovascular fitness.

Day 3

Kathmandu to Machha Khola- 157km(8-9hrs drive.)

Because the road extension has gone further than Soti Khola, Nepal Royal Tourism Pvt. Ltd Experts recommend driving directly to Machha Khola rather than staying in Soti Khola and walking on the road the next day. after long drive we leave Kathmandu, passing through Arughat and Soti Khola along the way on the dusty road. Machha Khola is located on the banks of the Budhi Gandaki River, our companion, and guide through the Manaslu valley, the source of which we will eventually touch on as we ascend to the Larkya La pass.

Day 4

Machha Khola to Jagat

We walk through the new, roughened road to Sotikhola on the first day of the trek. We then cross a bridge, trek along the Budi Gandaki River through the forest, and pass through many villages, rice fields, and waterfalls.

Day 5

Trek from Jagat to Deng

After breakfast in the morning, we head to Khorla Bensi, passing the rocky trail, descending to the bank of the river Budi Gandaki, walking along the sand, then climbing away and off to reach Machhakhola with some up and down to get to Khorla Bbensi.

Day 6

Trek to Deng (1,804 m) to Namrung 6hrs walk

The trail goes to Deng, passing several towns, settlements, and waterfalls, and passing suspension bridges along the path after verifying the entrance permit.

Day 7

Trek Namrung to Shyala

Today is the day when we hit the jackpot for spectacular views of the mountains as the valley opens up with our approach to the scenic village of Lho. The lower temperate forests give way steadily as the trail breaks free of the tree line and climbs higher into the mountains, the lush greens of the lower valley giving way to the muted browns and grays of the Himalayan terrain and the vivid blue skies one only experiences at altitude. After our half-day hike to Lho, we will enjoy lunch and continue to our final destination, Shyala. The reason we are choosing your overnight stay in Shyala is just because of its incredible Himalayan scenery. Wherever you turn your camera, you will have only 360-degree, imposing mountain views.

Day 8

Trek Shyala to Samagaun via Pungen Gompa

From Shyala, we hike to the equally impressive viewpoint and one of our trip highlights, Pungen Gompa, which offers spectacular vistas of Manaslu, Himal Chuli, Nadi Peak, Kutang Himal, and a beautiful glacier, then descend steadily through yak pasture lands to Samagaun.

Day 9

Acclimatization day!

Samagoan is a tiny Tibetan village where we spend a day relaxing and acclimatizing. The city is filled with cultural and traditional communities and is considered the first base camp for the expedition to Manaslu. You will visit Lake Birendra, Monastery Pungen, and Village on this day.

Day 10

Sama - Samdo (3860 m) 4 hrs walk

We walk along the River Budi Gandaki through several mani walls on the way to the Tibetan Plateau. We end up at Samdo. There is plenty of time in the afternoon to explore and perhaps hike to a higher altitude briefly to help in the process of acclimatization.

Day 11

Acclimatization day

Set up your proper acclimatization to rest day at Samdo. The day helps you to explore Tibet’s border desert valley and hiking opportunities above the village.

Day 12

Trek to Dharmashala (4460 m) 4hrs walk

We head to Larkya Base Camp, also known as Dharamshala, to explore Tibet’s wilderness. Today is enough time for acclimatization for a short day trek to Dharmashala. The stone did not make the house a lodge but a type of shelter called Dharmashala.

Day 13

Dharamsala to Larkya la pass to Bhimthang (3800 m) via Larkya – La Pass (5218 meters) 8hrs walk.

We start to walk in the early morning, around 3:00 a.m. The trail goes through a steep climb that leads to the north side of Larkya Glacier. Horizontally, walking along the alpine valley leads to Larkya – La at an altitude of 5,218 m, rewarding the pristine mountain scenery of Annapurna and Ganesh Himal range, then a long downhill to Bhimthang.

Day 14

trek from Bimthang to Goaistance.

With views of Manaslu to our left and the Annapurna ranges to our right, we descend from Bhimthang through yak pastures to the first signs of the Dudh Khola’s headwaters trickling down the slope. A bridge across leads to a path that gradually leaves behind the alpine climate and takes us down through familiar rhododendron forests to a narrow valley of terraced fields and patchwork crops. We reach the small and picturesque village of Goa overnight, where you will have the best accommodation, a hot shower, wifi, and delicious meals for the entire trek.

Day 15

Trek from Goa to Dharapani then drive to Besisahar

Short and pleasant hike to Dharapani, where we take lunch and drive to Besisahar by a shared jeep.

After a breakfast we will take a bus and drive to Kathmandu. Which is 175 km and 6-7 hours drive.
