Langtang Valley is the nearest Himalayan Region from Kathmandu valley which is just a few hour’s drives from Kathmandu. The Langtang Valley is as wild as any Tibetan highlands with the peaceful rural landscape. The people living in this region are Nepalese with Tibetan looks. The combined varieties of rhododendron, bamboo forests, waterfalls and majestic snow-capped mountains make the trek one of the most exciting and adventurous treks close to Kathmandu.

Langtang valley trek is also known as the trek to the valley of glaciers. Langtang valley is surrounded by Mount Langtang Lirung and is encircled by pine forest, mountain streams, grassy down and meadows, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks. The trek will also visit the wonderful Langtang National park and will get to view the amazing ice flutes of Gyangchempo. The trek will also be traveling through Trisuli Bazaar to Syabrubesi which is a Sherpa village situated at the end of the Langtang National Park.

Trekking to Langtang valley is a pleasurable journey passing through the green forest, various lakes including the sacred Gosaikunda, beautiful villages of Sherpa’s and also provides a chance to experience the hospitality of warm welcoming villagers. Langtang Valley trekkers get chance to view numerous of landscape sceneries along with the majestic mountain views and reflection of local culture. Trekking to this region leads to explore high Himalayan alpine and vast diverged mid hill Helambu valley. The trek allows encountering with diverse cultural inhabitants of the area and their extraordinary lifestyle.

Itinerary


Day 1 Arrival at Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel.

After arriving at Tribhuvan International airport you will be received by our airport representatives.

Day 2 Drive Sybru Bensi from Kathmandu.

Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi. It takes about nine hours by bus or Land cruiser depending on group size.

Day 3 Trek from Sybru Bensi to Rimche.

The trail crosses through Bhote Koshi and follows the Langtang Khola then gradually climbs to Bamboo passing through the Landslide area. Afterwards, trek ascends gently to Rimche (2,400m) through Bamboo (1,960m) which lies at the bank of Langtang Khola.

Day 4 Trek to Langtang Village.

Route now follows Gumanechok, Ghoda Tabela and reaches to Langtang village which is one of the very local and old villages along this trekking route and the view from here is more spectacular as we get closer to mountain.

Day 5 Trek to Kyanjin Gompa exploring the valley and lots of small peaks to climb.

explore kyanjin Gompa and  monastery . visit  cheese factory . hike  around  kyanjin ri  and  tumbling  glacier .

Day 6 Trek to Rimche.

after  breakfast descent trek to rimche .following  the  langtang  khola  and  lama  hotel .

Day 7 Trek back to Sybru Bensi.

Leaving the mountains behind us our descent takes us to the Sybru Bensi where the trek was start about a week ago.

Day 8 Drive back to Kathmandu Valley.

Day 9 Final Departure

your Airport  time  we will  arrange    private transportation with  ours  company rules.

Equipment & Packing List


Trekkers require bring during trekking flowing equipment.

Sleeping

  • Tent (necessary for treks  camping trek )
  • Sleeping bag (–15° bag will suffice on most treks , it  can  be  rented in Kathmandu )
  • Sleeping pad
  • Silk liner

Hiking

  • Backpack (size depends on whether or not you have porters)
  • Hiking boots (break them in beforehand)
  • Camp shoes (your reward after a long day)
  • Wool socks (bring a few pairs extra  of varying thickness)
  • Lightweight trekking pants
  • Trekking shorts
  • T-Shirts (lightweight wool is great)
  • Crampons (high elevation where we are going  for mountain pass)

 

Cold Weather

  • Long underwear/Wool thermals
  • Fleece Sweater
  • Water proof jacket and pants
  • Heavy weight pants for high elevations (good for camping trek)
  • Heavy down jacket (can be rented in Kathmandu)
  • Winter hat
  • Winter gloves

Accessories

  • Water purification (pump, tablets, or SteriPen ,)
  • Diamox
  • Fever and  headache medicine
  • Water bottles (at least 2  liters total capacity)
  • Baseball cap (the sun is strong at all elevations)
  • Hiking poles (lessen the impact on your joints)
  • Sunglasses (essential when you cross snow line)
  • Head lamp with extra batteries
  • Journal and pens
  • Camera with extra batteries
  • Daypack (for your rain jacket, snacks, camera, etc.)
  • Heavy-duty duffle bag (preferred by porters)
  • Gators (many people wear them but they are not mandatory)

Personal Supplies

  • Sun screen
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, floss, etc.)
  • Biodegradable bar soap
  • Face/body wipes
  • Biodegradable washing liquid
  • Throat lozenges, lip balm
  • Medications (ibuprofen, others if necessary)

Extras

  • Duct tape (fixes just about everything, at least temporarily. To avoid carrying an entire roll wrap the desired amount around a pencil)
  • First aid kit (with moleskin for blisters)
  • Extra passport photos and photocopies of your passport
