Day 1

Arrival, Paro - Thimphu (By Car, approx. 1.5 Hrs.)

Greetings from Bhutan. As you arrive, your local guide, Nepal Royal Tourism  will welcome you and take you comfortably to the capital, Thimphu. Along the way, you’ll pass the Tamchog Lhakang Iron Bridge En Route. After checking in to your hotel, your next stop is the impressive Buddha Dordenma Statue and the Takin Sanctuary , where you’ll have the chance to witness the rare Takin, Bhutan’s national animal. Continue to Zilukha Nunnery for a meeting with the nuns  and then unwind at your hotel.

Day 2

Thimphu- Punakha -2hrs 30mins drive

As you travel towards Punakha, make a stop at Dochula Pass for a coffee break while taking in the sight of the spectacular 108 stupas. When the weather is clear, enjoy the mesmerizing panorama of Mt. Himalaya. Proceed to Chimmi Lhakhang, which honors the Devine Madman and serves as a spiritual destination where visitors come to pray to have children. The journey continues to the memorable highlight – Punakha Dzong, a stunning example of Bhutanese architecture, standing beside the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers and home to valuable Buddhist relics.

Day 3

Punakha-Phobjikha (By Car, 2 1/2 Hrs.)

After b/fast drive towards phobjikha by lawala pas, later visit Gangtey monastery  and then after lunch Do phobjikha nature hike  for 2hrs and evening to hotel or home stay.

Day 4

Phobjikha -Punakha following same route

After b/fast drive back to punakha on the way visit wangdue Dzong (fortress) and later do some short hike to khamsum yueling Namgyal stupa  for 40 mins-1 hrs hike. Later visit Nunnery or nun monastery  and to hotel.

Day 5

Punakha - Paro (3hrs following same route)

Morning drive back to paro on the way visit simtokha forgress and later visit paro Dzong or fortress after lunch visit paro national museum and Dungtse temple  and evening to hotel.

DAY HIKE TO TIGER’S NEST MONASTERY

This morning, set out for a hike to reach Taktsang, positioned 3000m above sea level – (Tiger’s Nest- built in 1691 by Second Buddha, Padma Sambava – Legend has it that Padma Sambava arrived on the back of a tigress at the site where the temple now stands), you’ll be struck by the majesty of this remarkable temple perched on the cliff face and take in the stunning scenery of Paro valley. Following your hike, make your way to the historic Drukgyel Dzong ruins, constructed to celebrate Bhutan’s triumph over the Tibetan invaders. If the sky is clear, you may enjoy distant views of Mt. Jhomolhari . Your tour continues at a traditional Bhutanese home (farm house) where you have an opportunity to meet local families, observe daily life, and perhaps sample Some homemade wine.Also try our hutanese traditional dress called gho for man and Kira for women. Later playing, Evening free time in Paro town.

Final departure

Bid farewell to Bhutan on your departure day. After breakfast we will escort you to the airport for your departure to your own country or in Nepal.
