Day 1
Arrival, Paro - Thimphu (By Car, approx. 1.30 Hrs)
A warm welcome awaits you in Bhutan. When you arrive, you’ll be met by your local guide who will take you to Thimphu, the nation’s capital, passing the Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge along the way. After checking in at your hotel, you’ll set out to visit the impressive Buddha Dordenma Statue and then explore the Takin Sanctuary, where you can observe Taking, the rare and iconic national animal of Bhutan. Afterward, you’ll have the chance to meet with the nuns residing at Zilukha Nunnery, followed by a visit to Dechen Phodrang Monastery. The tour continues to Bhutan Post Office Headquarters, where you have the unique opportunity to create personalized stamps using your own photos (USD 2-3 per stamp, payable by you). Your day finishes with a stop at Thimphu Dzong (Tashichho Dzong ), the largest religious edifice in Thimphu and the main office for governmental administration (public entry after 5 pm, Monday through Friday). Day 2
Thimphu - Punakha, Punakha Sightseeing
As you travel towards Punakha, your journey will include a coffee stop at Dochula Pass, where you can appreciate the spectacular 108 stupas. If the skies are clear, take in the mesmerizing panorama of Mt. Himalaya. Continue onwards to Chime Lhakhang, a revered temple built in honor of the Divine Madman, a respected spiritual figure, and recognized as a sacred site where people gather to pray for children. The next highlight awaits you—Punakha Dzong, a breathtaking marvel of Bhutanese design, beautifully situated between the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers, and home to a wealth of Buddhist treasures. Near there, you’ll also cross the Suspension Bridge, renowned as the longest bridge in Bhutan.

Day 3
Punakha - Paro(By Car, 3 Hrs 20mins), Paro Sightseeing
You’ll return to Paro, and begin sightseeing for the day with a visit to Paro Dzong, notably one of the most outstanding examples of Bhutanese design, and also an important center for religious and local administration. Afterwards, move on to Ta Dzong, a historic watchtower that now serves as the National Museum, where you’ll find a rich array of cultural artifacts. Next, continue to Kyichu Lhakhang, among Bhutan’s most ancient temples, and conclude the day with a stop at a local farm house, a wonderful place to converse with residents, observe daily traditions, and perhaps sample some of their homemade wine.

Day 4
Paro Hiking
Today’s adventure is a hike up to Taktsang, sitting 3000m above sea level –(Tiger’s Nest, erected in 1691 by the Second Buddha, Padma Sambava –Legend has it that Padma Sambava arrived on the back of a tigress to this very cliff where the monastery now stands). Marvel at the incredible sight of this sacred temple clinging to sheer rock, and admire the picturesque views across Paro valley.You’ll also head to visit the remains of Drukgyel Dzong, originally constructed to celebrate Bhutan’s triumph over Tibetan invasions. With good visibility, you can catch a beautiful distant glimpse of Mt. Jhomolhari. Enjoy a leisurely break in Paro town; in the evening you’ll be treated to a display of Bhutanese culture with a local show— consider trying on traditional attire (Gho for boys, Kira for girls).

Day 5
Final Departure
It’s time to leave Bhutan with fond memories. Following breakfast, you’ll be driven to the airport for your onward flight to your country or Nepal
