Day 1

Morning: Hotel Pickup & Sacred Sites Visit

Morning — Hotel Pickup and Sacred Heritage Sites

Your Kathmandu World Heritage Sites Tour begins with a private vehicle pickup from your hotel. After meeting your licensed cultural guide, you drive to Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s most sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Your guide explains the temple’s history, religious importance, traditional architecture, and the centuries-old cremation rituals performed along the Bagmati River.

The journey then continues to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world and an important center of Tibetan Buddhism. Walk around the magnificent white dome surrounded by colorful prayer flags, spinning prayer wheels, monasteries, and local pilgrims while learning about Buddhist traditions, daily rituals, and the spiritual importance of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Midday — Royal Palace Squares and Cultural Exploration

After visiting the sacred monuments, continue toward Kathmandu Durbar Square or Patan Durbar Square, depending on your preferred sightseeing plan and traffic conditions. These magnificent palace complexes once served as royal residences of Nepalese kings and remain outstanding examples of traditional Newari architecture, historic temples, courtyards, museums, and centuries-old craftsmanship.

Your guide leads a relaxed walking tour through the palace squares while sharing stories about Nepal’s royal history, local traditions, architecture, festivals, and the cultural importance of each monument. A lunch break follows at a local restaurant or heritage-style café, where you can enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine or choose from a variety of international dishes.

Afternoon — Medieval Heritage or Hilltop Panorama

The afternoon continues with a visit to either Bhaktapur Durbar Square or Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple).

Bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Nepal, featuring beautifully carved temples, brick-paved streets, traditional courtyards, pottery squares, and living Newari culture that has been preserved for centuries.

Swayambhunath Stupa, located on a hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley, is among Nepal’s oldest Buddhist monuments. Besides its spiritual importance, the site offers spectacular panoramic views of the valley along with shrines, monasteries, prayer wheels, and a peaceful atmosphere.

Throughout the afternoon, there is ample time to explore at a comfortable pace, take photographs, observe local life, and appreciate the remarkable cultural heritage that makes Kathmandu Valley one of the world’s most important historic destinations.

Late Afternoon — Return to Your Hotel

After completing the sightseeing program, your private vehicle transfers you back to your hotel in Kathmandu. Great time with Great service.

We had a great time during this trip, we went to see stunning view at Mardi Himal Trek, enjoyed Pokhara city, visited Lumbini birthplace of Buddha, did Safari tour in Chitwan national park, and had city tour in Kathmandu.
The trip was made perfect by Nepal Royal Tourism Holiday team. Great service, appreciated ! Highly recommend.

    Great Service

As “seasoned travellers” (westerners living in China) we can tell that travelling around countries like India, Nepal, Sri Lanka or also South East Asia can be a challenge for many reasons.
Ganesh and his company has provided as with a very good service which perfectly fit our needs. We are not looking for luxury, rather for a budget but comfortable way to visit as many sites as possible.
Ganesh greeted us in Kathmandu, gave us a city tour where we felt more like he’s showing his home place to friends than to customers, booked us all transport, accommodation and some activities in other places- Pokhara, Lumbini and Chitwan and met us in Kathmandu again.
With such travel agent even a person who is not that used to travel to not very developed countries can visit many sites without any problems which may cause frustration.
Most of all- Ganesh is a good, honest man who knows his businesses and provides a mix of warm and professional service. Basically we made friends there and we will keep in touch now.
On top of that it is a value for money- comparing same itineraries from 3 different sources Ganesh’s was the cheapest one.
Please reach out to me shall you have any more detailed questions.
I highly recommend Ganesh and his company to anyone who wants to visit Nepal!
